An Observation on Music in Cinematography

I was browsing my Facebook feed when I ran across this video:

Which is a pretty great video, and when I listened to the music, I realized I’d heard it before – from a Youtube channel called “Lens Distortions” that I’m subscribed to because they show some pretty amazing cinematography like in this video:

This is all well and good. That particular score is probably a stock musical piece that you can purchase for a couple hundred quid on some stock audio site.

My point is this:

Music and imagery are integral components in any cinematic production, and it’s really difficult not just to match the specific, proper piece to your production, but just finding a decent musical piece is REALLY hard and that makes me sad.
